Answer to gun violence?
I am highly concerned about gun violence and how its effecting the lives of today's youth. So much so that I started an non-profit program geared towards putting an end to gun violence. The way my program (1-On-1Boxing) operates is that we allow people to call us and tell us about their issue or so called "beef", we then come out to where they live, get both sides of the story from each "party" then bring them face-to-face to "mediate" in the hopes that they are able resolve their indifference. If they CANNOT or choose not to resolve the issue with mediation, we then give them the option to take their "beef" into the boxing ring. Each member is given 2 weeks of personal boxing training from a professional boxing instructor. After the 2 weeks are up, they are put into the ring to "box it out". In addition to all of this, both parties must sign a contract stating that we are to never fight (outside the 1-On-1Boxing ring), or engage in any senseless acts of violence. Of course since starting this program we have gotten a variety of "opinions" about the effectiveness of such a program. What's your opinion? Is a boxing program the answer to gun violence? I say YES!
